Michael Visacki of Sarasota won his second Indian River Open Championship title shooting a two-day score of -13 under par (64-67). Big Mike bested a very strong field edging defending champion Pete Kellermann of Jacksonville by 3-strokes. The event drew 108 competitors from around the globe who came to challenge this classic Donald Ross layout. In the Senior division Paul Wackerly who hails from Minerva, OH had rounds of 69-67 to finish the championship at -8 under par . His margin of victory was a single stroke over PGA Tour veteran Patrick Sheehan of Oviedo. Sheehan opened with a -6 under par 66 finishing with a -1 under 71 and a two-day total of -7 under par. The FPGTour heads west to Continental CC in Wildwood, FL for the 2023 Wildwood Open on February 17-19. The event boasts a guaranteed $5000 first place prize and is sponsored by the Membership of Continental CC.
