Wildwood Round 2, 1 Hour Fog Delay

We are on a 1 hour fog delay this morning. First tee time will be at 10 am. Will McCurdy is leading at 8 under after round 1, followed my a strong group of players at 7 under. Anyone who shot a 70 or higher yesterday is eligible for OTM. Remember to visit the registration table to participate in any side games. After the fog clears, it’s supposed to shape up to be Beautiful day for golf!

Sheehan Shines at Venetian Bay

PGA Tour Veteran Patrick Sheehan went wire to wire this weekend to capture the 2018 Volusia County Open on rounds of 65-67. Patrick’s -12 under par total was good enough to edge out Don Leafstrand by two shots, and 3 better than Jeff Corr and Ryan Gildersleeve. Sheehan made 14 birdies, 20 par’s, and just two bogey’s in 36 holes. His opening round of 65 was bogey free. Congratulations Patrick…..Great Playing

The Legacy Classic at Alaqua Lakes….. Longwood, FL

Kamaiu Johnson of Tallahassee, FL captured this weeks event at Legacy Club with a two day total of -5 under par on rounds of 68-71. Kam’s margin of victory was 2 shots over Dave Pecorella from Orlando, and 3 shots clear of Kevin Aylwin of New Smyrna Beach and Ryan Gildersleeve of Clearwater. Disney’s New Years Open……Fry Fries the field at Lake Buena Vista….

Matt Fry from Bel Air, MD took down the field on the 7,300yd Magnolia course at Disney World this week with rounds of 64-68, a two day total of -12 under par to capture the event by a margin of 7 shots over our defending Champion David Tepe. Aylwin Wins At Wekiva

Longwood, FL Kevin Aylwin from New Smyrna Beach put together two bogey free rounds this week to win the 2017 Christmas Classic at Wekiva Golf Club. His 36-Hole score of 129 (-15 under par) on rounds of 66-63 was good enough for a 3 stroke margin of victory over Bruce Woodall of Ponte Vedra Beach, and 5 strokes ahead of Ross Beal from Uniontown, OH who was the overnight leader after opening with 63. Fox Wins Back To Back Events

Daytona Beach Bryan Fox put together two rounds of 69-70 to capture this weeks event at LPGA International on the Jones course to win his second event in a row on the FPGTour. His margin of victory was 4 shots over Tucker Guisewite and Cory Howard who finished T-2 at -1 under par. Congrats to Bryan for another great performance. The FPGTour heads to Wekiva Golf Club next week for their Annual Christmas Classic at Wekiva Golf Club.
